if softness was a reason
the pressure of sighs
wrists angled slightly
chin tilted a degree of belief
if softness was a reason
and the dawn cast patterns
through dusty blinds
his arms withdrawn slightly
murmuring water dripping
a variance across her back
if softness was a reason
and spring filtered frost
her feet would linger
with naked discretion
and keep this close
