I am instructor and student
building my database
of amplified, random categories
I am a crazed animal, calculating
your movements on a crowded floor
measuring the color of your eyes
against a dimly lit July sky
I am writing olfactory
memoirs of our mornings when
I thought I knew who I was,
I thought I knew
who you were
